Role Overview
We seek an International Financial Accountant to join a fast-paced, effective international accounting team. This person will play a key role focused mainly on European and Latin American operations as we continue expanding globally. This position offers opportunities for career progression within a dynamic multinational setup spanning 18 countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks including account reconciliations and maintenance of roll-forward schedules
- Prepare journal entries supported by reviewed reconciliations and schedules
- Manage General Ledger processes such as monthly management reporting, accounting for international subsidiaries, accruals, and related accounting duties
- Assist in analyzing fluctuations in balance sheets and income statements for management reporting
- Provide support in procure-to-pay procedures
- Participate in annual audits of subsidiaries when applicable
- Contribute to finance-related SOX compliance activities
- Engage in process improvement initiatives including cross-team collaboration and execute special projects as needed
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Professional accountant qualified with a recognized accounting credential
- Practical experience in general accounting either from industry or public accounting firms
- Familiarity with international subsidiary accounting is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP is preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and effective communication abilities across diverse audiences
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and prioritization capabilities
- Experience with system ERP, especially Dynamics 365, considered a plus
