Overview

Upplause Consulting is looking to add an experienced Account Supervisor to our social media team, dedicated to managing one of our major consumer packaged goods (CPG) accounts. This role requires a skilled communication professional who can take on a wide variety of responsibilities independently and use sound judgment. The Account Supervisor will play a key senior role in client work, demonstrating high-level writing, organizational, research, and social media skills. The candidate must be comfortable engaging directly with clients and possess strong program development, presentation, and consultancy abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster strong internal collaborations by utilizing agency resources to effectively support client business needs.
  • Take charge of day-to-day client interactions and management.
  • Guide and prioritize team efforts when facing conflicting demands.
  • Create initial drafts of presentations using advanced PowerPoint skills.
  • Work collaboratively with agency departments including creative, strategy, project management, and production teams.
  • Actively contribute insights during team meetings, demonstrating clear understanding of the program, brand, and its competitive landscape.
  • Continuously enhance presentation skills for both client-facing and internal discussions.
  • Develop and apply specialized knowledge in specific thematic or functional areas relevant to the role.
  • Promote social-first, audience-focused approaches in all work conducted.
  • Assist Account Leads in managing multiple concurrent projects by organizing time and resources effectively.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the client's business, market category, and competitors.
  • Regularly update leadership, including Directors, on business progress and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Develop and share strategic directions across cross-functional internal teams to ensure alignment.
  • Collaborate with global counterparts and include relevant regional markets during annual planning and account activations.
  • Support all phases of production activities — from ideation through pre-production, on-set, and post-production — in coordination with traditional and social media producers.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Three to five years of experience in social media within a large agency environment.
  • Deep expertise in social strategy, community management, and social creative operations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of various social media platform features and functionalities.
  • A strong desire to learn, innovate, and adapt continuously.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Advanced problem-solving aptitude to effectively facilitate collaboration between clients and agency teams.
  • Ability to manage workloads and communicate effectively to deliver assignments on time and within budget.
