About the role
This position is focused on managing a defined portfolio of current customers. As the main day-to-day contact, you will build trusted relationships, support customer goals, and drive expansion through renewals, upselling, and cross-selling.
You will represent AvePoint’s vision and strategy for your accounts, with responsibility for growing the business within your assigned territory. The role calls for understanding customer needs, uncovering new challenges and opportunities, and working closely with internal specialists to position the right solutions.
What you will do
- Manage an assigned book of business and support customers through regular, structured touchpoints that help sell, educate, retain, and grow accounts.
- Serve as the primary contact for existing customers in your territory.
- Develop strong relationships with key business and technical stakeholders.
- Build relationships with influential customer champions who can help drive long-term adoption of AvePoint solutions.
- Own the commercial selling process for your accounts.
- Handle complex sales opportunities using a consultative approach.
- Secure renewals at or above the expected renewal value.
- Increase revenue by encouraging product adoption, managing escalations, and strengthening retention and satisfaction.
- Learn each customer’s business, priorities, pain points, and growth opportunities.
- Present solutions that align with customer objectives.
- Collaborate with pre-sales engineers and other internal teams to close business.
- Lead or support solution discovery, solution overview, and technical deep-dive discussions with customers.
- Respond to customer questions and resolve issues promptly, including sharing updates on new product capabilities.
- Engage prospective customers and guide them through evaluation and selection.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date opportunity pipeline in the CRM system.
- Meet or exceed quarterly renewal and new business targets.
What you need
- A bachelor’s degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in technology account management.
- At least 2 years of experience selling within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Background in executive-level selling across both business and technical audiences.
- Working knowledge of sales methodologies and processes.
- Business development experience is preferred.
- Strong ownership, accountability, and a sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Openness to learn and grow in a fast-moving environment.
