Job Overview
This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining robust relationships with clients to drive customer satisfaction, secure profitable growth, and maximize sales revenues. Acting as the primary liaison for all business interactions, the Account Manager handles the complete sales process from customer profiling through deal closure.
Key Duties
- Develop strong, enduring customer partnerships ensuring client retention, satisfaction, and achievement of revenue goals by managing all client-related activities.
- Serve as the sole point of contact between the customer and the company.
- Implement strategic sales plans tailored to each account, recognizing their strategic importance for the organization.
- Analyze and comprehend clients’ business operations, procurement procedures, and purchasing behavior to anticipate and fulfill current and future needs.
- Identify and engage with key decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations.
- Stay informed about industry developments, company products, and technological advancements.
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle, including lead generation, customer profiling, and account planning.
- Collaborate with Pre-Sales teams to develop customized sales proposals addressing client requirements.
- Lead negotiations, finalize contracts, and close sales successfully.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery and implementation of sold services.
- Champion customer satisfaction by proactively suggesting improvement initiatives and providing comprehensive after-sales support.
- Handle and resolve all customer inquiries and complaints efficiently by liaising with relevant departments.
- Generate new business opportunities, prioritize sales activities effectively, and communicate risks.
- Articulate customer needs and recommend development of specific products or solutions to relevant teams.
- Lead cross-functional teams on occasion to address special customer requirements.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration.
- 4 to 5 years of proven experience in sales or key account management roles.
