Role purpose

This position is focused on driving business growth within the assigned territory by selling and expanding data, voice, broadband, and fixed-line solutions. The account manager acts as the main interface between Airtel and the customer across all three business lines, while also working to improve customer market share and revenue market share in both existing and new accounts.

Reporting structure

The role reports to the Team Leader or Zonal Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Achieve the assigned revenue and business targets across data, voice, and fixed-line services.
  • Identify and win new accounts for data, voice, and fixed-line offerings.
  • Expand sales within current customers by cross-selling multiple products.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline across all three business lines with the right level of opportunity maturity.
  • Track competitor activity and gather market intelligence.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals or contracts to maximize business value.
  • Ensure smooth and timely delivery of solutions aligned to client requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal support teams to help resolve customer issues quickly and effectively.

Qualifications and experience

A graduate degree is required, with preference for candidates holding a B.Tech or B.E. The role calls for more than 2 years of relevant experience in B2B field sales.
