About the Role

The Account Manager for the East Coast at Amcor Wine & Spirits is tasked with driving growth and managing wine and spirits accounts in North America, predominantly in Canada and the USA's eastern seaboard. Amcor provides closures including screwcaps and capsules, catering to customers mainly through its St Cesaire facility in Canada and American Canyon operations in California, supported by plants in France and Chile. Recognized for market leadership, technical expertise, and innovative packaging solutions, Amcor Wine & Spirits aims to maintain profitability and expand its presence in this strategic region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned wine and spirits accounts to maximize revenue and profitability while tracking critical performance indicators.
  • Develop a deep understanding of both short-term and long-term customer needs to differentiate Amcor’s products and create aligned growth opportunities.
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with key account decision-makers and influencers beyond purchasing departments.
  • Maintain up-to-date business plans and customer strategies using Amcor’s proprietary tools.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to agree on sustainability and innovation initiatives with customers.
  • Lead major negotiations ensuring alignment with Amcor's interests and influence decision-making processes.
  • Direct and support local sales resources to execute account strategies effectively and achieve growth targets.
  • Monitor sales volumes and margins, implementing corrective measures as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Coordinate with marketing on programs to ensure sales commitments are fulfilled.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain to accurately forecast demand and implement account strategies.
  • Promote and utilize Salesforce.com, PMDB, ANPos, and Value Plus tools actively for sales management.

Qualifications & Skills

  • University degree or equivalent, accompanied by strong sales expertise and motivation.
  • At least five years’ experience in a large-scale B2B setting, preferably within technical sales or general management.
  • Proven accomplishments in generating sales growth and maintaining profitability.
  • Project and process management excellence with the ability to translate strategies into actionable activities.
  • Fluent communication skills in English.
  • Expert negotiation and decision-making abilities with a results-driven approach.
  • Competence in business analysis including pricing, margin management, and KPI monitoring using Excel and Salesforce.
  • Skilled in managing complex stakeholder relationships within matrix organizations and adapting quickly to industrial shifts.
  • Insight into brand customer dynamics and contributing factors for their development.
  • Strong ability to foster regional business expansion.

Additional Information

The position involves overseeing a budget of 5 to 20 million USD and focuses on accounts across the East Coast of the USA and Canada. The role is permanent and onsite, requiring the candidate to engage extensively with both internal stakeholders and customers to uphold the company’s market leadership and innovation standards.
