Job description
Role Overview
As an Account Manager based in Waikato/Bay of Plenty, you will collaborate with food and beverage manufacturers to enhance operational workflows, food safety, and product standards across regions including Eastern Waikato, Bay of Plenty, and Coromandel. Utilizing Ecolab’s global capabilities, you'll design and implement customised cleaning and sanitisation programs aligned with client goals to lower overall operating expenses.
You will lead customer training sessions promoting effective, efficient, and safe usage of products and equipment, while acting as a trusted consultant who comprehends operational challenges. A key component is driving sales and business growth by proactively identifying opportunities within sectors such as dairy, brewing, beverage, protein, and food processing. This role requires a balance of teamwork across different departments and independent management of your client portfolio to meet objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships at all organizational levels
- A pragmatic, solution-driven approach with enthusiasm for problem-solving
- Ability to grasp technical and engineering concepts relevant to both customers and Ecolab’s operations
- Preferably holding a tertiary qualification in dairy science, food science, or possessing pertinent food and beverage processing experience
- Demonstrated skill in recognising opportunities, selling value-enhancing solutions, and achieving mutually beneficial results
- Must have a valid New Zealand driver's license
