Position Summary

The Account Executive - New Business role sits within Twilio's Global Sales team and is focused on acquiring new customers across the entire Twilio platform. This position entails prospecting, consultative solution selling, and closing deals while becoming a strategic partner to large and fast-growing enterprises. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with sales specialists, product, marketing, finance, and solutions engineering to drive profitable multi-product sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new customer acquisition across the full suite of Twilio offerings with responsibility for assigned incremental account contract value quotas.
  • Manage complex, consultative sales cycles, moving beyond transactional vendor relationships to unlocking value across Twilio’s portfolio.
  • Develop trusted, multi-level enterprise relationships including C-Suite engagement to sustain significant revenue growth.
  • Partner with Specialist Sales to understand customer business and technical needs, applying deep industry and technical knowledge to complex transactions.
  • Collaborate with product, value engineering, and enterprise strategy teams to innovate solutions and accelerate platform adoption.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Pricing, Product, and Operations to create mutually beneficial contracts balancing customer requirements and company objectives.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple deals and projects while maintaining high performance amidst shifting priorities.
  • Contribute to long-term territory planning in cooperation with sales, services, and go-to-market strategy teams.
  • Represent the customer voice to internal product and carrier relations groups.
  • Establish expertise in unified communications and data platform industries and vertical markets, guiding complex multi-product digital initiatives.
  • Effectively communicate the integrated benefits of Twilio’s unified go-to-market approach for industry clients.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using Salesforce CRM.

Requirements

  • Proven history of successful selling and deal closure in cloud communications and customer data platforms, emphasizing multi-product adoption.
  • At least 12 years of full sales cycle experience, including 5+ years leading or managing analytical, technical product or solution sales.
  • Experience selling technical SaaS, CPaaS, or data platforms and transitioning transactional sales to strategic partnerships.
  • Skilled in outbound prospecting and executing comprehensive account strategies to drive profitable growth.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, able to deeply uncover and translate complex customer challenges into integrated SaaS and API solutions.
  • Comfortable engaging both business and technical leaders to influence their appreciation of integrated data and AI business value.
  • Data-driven account development strategies focused on uncovering opportunities and promoting multi-product sales.
  • Experience managing business forecasts and financial models.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with a willingness to define processes and build programs.
  • Track record of delivering market-driven results for scale and enterprise customers.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing enterprise clients in South East Asia and India high technology sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • In-depth exposure to CPaaS, data platforms, or global communications platforms.
  • Domain knowledge in highly quantitative industries such as retail, eCommerce, DevOps, fintech, insurance, advertising optimization, banking, or security.
  • Sales experience in Software, SaaS, CPaaS, or PaaS products.

Location & Travel

This fully remote position is based in Singapore. Up to 30% travel is expected to facilitate meaningful in-person connections with customers and teammates.
