Job description
Overview
Our client, a private-equity-backed SaaS company, is seeking an Account Executive to join their team in Sydney. The company offers a leading transactional technology platform servicing investment banks, M&A lawyers, private equity firms, and corporate deal teams to facilitate complex financial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and expand a territory focused on the banking sector including banks, advisory firms, private equity, venture capital, and corporate deal teams.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts by targeting new deal teams, divisions, and originators.
- Handle 30 to 40 active deals simultaneously, operating within fast sales cycles of one to three weeks.
- Conduct discovery sessions, perform product demonstrations, and lead commercial negotiations independently.
- Collaborate within a pod structure alongside a Sales Development Representative and Customer Success Manager, supported by Account-Based Marketing efforts.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum two years’ experience in a high-volume B2B sales capacity, such as Account Executive or Business Development Manager.
- Demonstrated success in independently generating sales pipelines and closing multiple deals consistently.
- Strong emotional intelligence and confidence to engage senior stakeholders in banking and financial services.
- Preferably experienced in SaaS, fintech, financial services, or related technology sectors.
- Possess a proactive, hunter-driven approach to sales, actively seeking new deals rather than waiting for inbound interest.
Compensation and Benefits
- Target on-target earnings of approximately $200,000 annually with a base salary ranging from $110,000 to $120,000 plus commissions.
- Work location is hybrid with requirement to be onsite in Sydney CBD.
- Clear career advancement path with a history of internal promotions and talent development.
- Supportive pod sales structure with strong leadership fostering a performance-oriented environment.
- Opportunity to engage directly with high-profile financial transactions such as M&As, IPOs, and capital raising events, providing enriching and impactful work.
