Role Overview

Notion is looking for an Account Executive based in Dublin to win new business and grow existing commercial opportunities within the SMB segment. This is a full-cycle sales role for someone who can handle the process end to end: opening opportunities, leading discovery, presenting solutions, managing technical and business stakeholders, and closing deals. The role requires speed, structure, and a strong outbound approach.

You will sell to senior decision-makers such as CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Product, and VPs of Engineering. A strong understanding of technical use cases will be important, including APIs, data, developer tools, infrastructure, and AI or agent-based workflows.

What You Will Do

  • Build new pipeline through proactive outbound activity and create momentum quickly within target accounts.
  • Own the complete sales motion from prospecting and discovery through solution alignment, demonstrations, negotiation, and closing.
  • Conduct thoughtful discovery conversations to understand business goals and technical needs, then translate those into a compelling value story.
  • Run live demos and adapt the narrative to each customer, including light solution planning such as workspace structure, permissions, rollout strategy, and integrations when needed to help move adoption forward.
  • Work through commercial-stage hurdles such as security reviews, legal terms, and procurement processes with support from internal partners.
  • Maintain reliable forecasting and execute with strong pace and urgency to achieve or exceed quota.
  • Collaborate with Solutions, Product, and Marketing teams to feed customer insights back into the company.

Skills and Experience Needed

  • 1 to 3 years of experience closing deals in a quota-carrying full-cycle role, or a closely related position with clear closing responsibility, with a track record of steady performance.
  • Background selling to technical stakeholders such as CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, or VPs of Product, with the ability to connect product features to workflow and ROI outcomes.
  • Strong outbound habits, creative pipeline generation, and the ability to manage discovery, demos, and close.
  • Comfort handling multi-stakeholder deals and influencing decision-making across complex customer organizations.
  • Ability to learn technical subjects quickly and explain them in a simple, practical way.
  • Comfort using AI tools in day-to-day work and familiarity with modern AI-supported ways of working.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and experience in the CEE market, with an interest in helping shape repeatable sales processes and bringing customer feedback into scaling efforts.
  • Professional fluency in English and Polish.
  • You do not need to be an AI specialist, but you should be curious and open to adopting AI tools to improve productivity and outcomes.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with usage-based or consumption-based pricing.
  • Exposure to developer tools, APIs, data products, infrastructure, or AI solutions.
  • Experience as an early sales hire in a fast-growing startup.
  • Fluency in Czech.

Compensation and Benefits

Notion offers competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. Total on-target earnings for this role are estimated at €130,000 per year, with the final package depending on location, scope, complexity, experience, and expertise.

Deep AI expertise is not required for every role, but candidates should be interested in learning and using AI tools to work more effectively.
