Role overview
We are looking for a remote Academic Researcher to support the training of next-generation AI systems. In this position, you will bring subject-matter depth to produce reliable, real-world inputs that improve how models learn, reason, and perform.
What you will do
- Carry out detailed research and critical analysis within your area of expertise, turning findings into strong evidence-based insights.
- Draft, review, and organize complex documents in Word and PDF, including tasks such as tracked edits, form completion, and data extraction.
- Work closely with teams across legal, healthcare, policy, and finance to support a wide variety of project requirements.
- Convert dense research findings into clear reports and presentations that meet Fortune 500-level expectations.
- Assess academic papers, legal material, and industry data, then combine them into outputs that guide project decisions.
- Check all deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with the assigned guidelines.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in written and spoken form with stakeholders and teammates.
Required background
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in academic research, law, policy, healthcare, or a closely related field.
- A master’s degree, PhD, or JD from a recognized institution.
- Strong hands-on experience with Word and PDF review workflows, including formatting, tracked changes, and information extraction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a strong eye for detail.
- Comfort working with multiple priorities in a remote, deadline-focused setting.
- Experience partnering with multidisciplinary teams on complex work products.
- A proven track record of delivering polished, client-ready materials.
