Academic Researcher - AI Trainer

About the Role

We are seeking experienced quantitative professionals to contribute to the training of advanced AI models. In this position, you will engage closely with cutting-edge AI systems, assessing AI-produced quantitative analyses, resolving technical challenges, and delivering feedback that directly influences the development of AI reasoning about data, modeling, and scientific issues. Whether your expertise lies in data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, or similar quantitative disciplines, your analytical skills are highly relevant to this opportunity. While some team members combine this work with full-time jobs, others dedicate themselves fully.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess AI-generated quantitative outputs, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, scientific thinking, and data-driven conclusions for both technical correctness and practical applicability.
• Create and resolve quantitative challenges used to train and evaluate AI systems across various domains such as forecasting, experimental analysis, optimization, and statistical inference.
• Produce clear technical documentation and well-commented analytical code.
• Offer constructive feedback to enhance the evolution of AI models focused on quantitative reasoning.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum three years of practical experience in quantitative roles or research settings like data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, or operations research.
• Experience with coding, comfortable in composing and reviewing analytical programming from start to finish.
• Hands-on expertise using statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and experiment design methods such as A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, classification, and time-series forecasting.
• Proficiency in English at a native or bilingual level with excellent writing abilities.
• A bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred; advanced qualifications (Master’s or PhD) are advantageous.
• Additional credentials like Kaggle rankings or cloud machine learning certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.

Compensation is processed through PayPal, including any currency conversions from USD. Applicants will never be asked to pay any fees. This independent contractor position is open exclusively to residents of the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
