Academic Facilitator — Student Success Coach

Role overview

This role is part of a large academic improvement initiative delivered across school sites in the UAE. As an Academic Facilitator, also referred to as a Student Success Coach, you will guide and supervise groups of 100+ students during self-directed learning sessions. Your focus will be on keeping students engaged, monitoring participation and progress, and helping with forms and programme paperwork. You will work closely with site coordinators and academic leads to support a consistent experience across multiple locations.

This is a people-focused position suited to someone who brings patience, curiosity, and a calm presence. Success in the role depends on quickly earning students’ trust and staying composed in busy, large-group settings.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee students during structured self-led learning sessions and provide day-to-day guidance.
• Encourage motivation, discipline, and active participation as a student coach rather than a classroom teacher.
• Support Arabic-speaking student groups by helping with communication and understanding.
• Help students complete required programme forms and supporting documentation.
• Gather, check, and combine attendance and progress records.
• Maintain an organised, focused session environment at the assigned site.
• Share attendance updates, participation notes, and important observations with site coordinators.
• Work in step with other facilitators and academic leads to ensure delivery stays aligned.
• Adjust smoothly to different school venues and varied student groups across locations.
• Spot pastoral or welfare issues early and raise them promptly.
