About the Role
The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, one of the world’s leading centres for paediatric healthcare, invites applications for a permanent faculty position as an Academic Clinician within the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (GHN), Department of Paediatrics, starting July 1, 2026. This prestigious role integrates clinical care, research, and education in a collaborative environment supported by world-class facilities and experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced clinical care to paediatric patients with gastrointestinal, hepatic, and nutritional disorders.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, dilatation, polypectomy, and bleeding control interventions.
- Participate in on-call Rotas for in-patient consult services and provide expertise on GHN ward services.
- Lead out-patient clinics specifically focusing on luminal (including upper GI) and eosinophilic GI disorders.
- Mentor and teach fellows in the GHN fellowship training program; engage in broader academic teaching activities.
- Contribute to clinical research initiatives and participate in clinical quality improvement projects.
Academic and Research Environment
GHN at SickKids is comprised of a collegial team of 18 faculty members engaged in high-impact scientific inquiry and practice, situated near major teaching hospitals and the University of Toronto. The SickKids Research Institute supports faculty with access to integrated, modern research programs and facilities.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary between 275,571 and 350,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.

Additional Information
- English language proficiency is required.
