Role overview
This position combines academic advising, learning design, and English language teaching. The selected candidate will help students succeed academically, build effective learning experiences, and deliver engaging ESL instruction that supports progress and educational quality.
Academic advising
You will guide students on academic planning, curriculum expectations, subject selection, learning routes, and available educational support. The role also involves tracking learner progress, handling academic questions, spotting areas where students need extra help, and working with faculty and administrative staff to improve retention and outcomes.
Instructional design
As part of the learning design function, you will study learner needs, create student-focused curricula, and develop instructional content for online, blended, and in-person delivery. This includes shaping course outlines, assessments, multimedia learning assets, and instructional documents while keeping the work aligned with learning goals and quality standards.
ESL teaching
In the teaching component, you will prepare and deliver interactive English lessons that strengthen speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. You will run engaging activities, review student performance, give helpful feedback, adjust teaching methods for varied learning needs, and maintain a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.
Collaboration and academic support
The role requires close coordination with academic departments, instructional designers, faculty, and student support teams. You will contribute to curriculum improvement, support better learner outcomes, and help integrate educational technology into the teaching process.
Systems, records, and quality improvement
You will work with learning management systems (LMS), keep academic and instructional records up to date, evaluate learning effectiveness, and take part in ongoing improvements to curriculum design, teaching practices, and educational services.
Key qualities
Success in this role depends on strong instructional ability, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, along with genuine interest in education, learner development, innovation, and continuous improvement.
