2IC Experienced Industrial Cleaner PM Shift - Mulgowie

Role Overview

An experienced and self-driven industrial cleaner is needed to take on a second-in-charge (2IC) position at the Mulgowie site. This role supports the maintenance of strict cleaning standards within a food processing environment and reports to the Cleaning Supervisor.

When the supervisor is off shift, you will step in to lead the cleaning team and oversee the cleaning of the food production line in the packing shed. The usual commencement time for this role is 7:00pm.

Key Duties

• Act as the team lead during shifts when the Cleaning Supervisor is unavailable.
• Make sure the crew works to the cleaning timetable and shed sanitation checklist.
• Ensure safe work procedures and approved cleaning workflows are consistently followed.
• Oversee adherence to Mulgowie’s cleaning methods and procedures so GMP standards are met.
• Be available for afternoon work across a seven-day roster, with hours influenced by seasonal demand.
• Take responsibility for ensuring the correct processes and procedures are applied.

Skills and Experience

• Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
• Prior industrial cleaning experience in a food manufacturing setting.
• Practical experience with chemical handling.
• Well-developed organisation skills and the ability to balance several priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Current Chem Cert is considered an advantage.

Working Conditions

This is an afternoon/evening shift position based in Mulgowie, Queensland. The roster may span all seven days of the week depending on seasonal requirements, and the expected start time is generally 7:00pm.
