About Vernacular Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd.
We are a consultancy specializing in transport planning and traffic engineering throughout India, focusing on comprehensive mobility strategies, junction improvements, road corridor design, and multimodal transportation projects.
Role Overview
This position involves a dual focus on creating precise 2D technical drawings and transforming them into detailed 3D visualizations for client reports and presentations. Candidates must demonstrate strong skills in both areas with no compromise on quality in either.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD including junction improvement layouts, road cross-sections, alignment plans, signage and marking plans, and general arrangement drawings.
- Develop 3D models of junctions, corridors, and streetscapes based on 2D plans and survey data.
- Create rendered visuals and walkthrough animations to support reports, bids, and presentations.
- Collaborate effectively with transport planners and engineers to faithfully represent design intentions in drawings and models.
- Ensure adherence to drawing standards, proper layer management, and maintain version control throughout projects.
- Respond promptly to feedback and revise drawings and visuals during review phases.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma or degree in civil engineering, architecture, or related discipline, or comparable practical experience.
- Proficient use of AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
- Experience with SketchUp and Lumion for 3D modeling and rendering, and Photoshop for post-processing.
- Ability to interpret survey drawings, road design specifications, and layout plans accurately.
- Strong attention to scale, measurement accuracy, and drafting details.
- Capable of managing multiple drawings concurrently across projects while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior involvement in transport or infrastructure projects such as roads, junctions, or urban mobility planning.
- Familiarity with Indian Roads Congress drawing standards.
- Basic understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Additional Information
This is a full-time position based in Lucknow. Applicants should prepare to work onsite alongside the team. Compensation ranges from 20,000 to 40,000 INR per month depending on experience.
