This contract opportunity invites a skilled 2D animator to contribute to an emotionally rich short film approximately 2 minutes and 30 seconds long. The story centers on a cat residing in a family-run independent bookstore who makes friends with neighborhood stray cats by sharing her collection of books. The animation aims to portray warmth, a sense of community, and the enchantment of storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Animate the entire short film in 2D following the provided script and storyboard.
- Create expressive character animations focusing on the main feline protagonist and other supporting cat characters.
- Collaborate in crafting visual storytelling that effectively conveys emotional moments and clear narrative flow.
- Incorporate feedback throughout the production to refine the animation.
- Deliver final animation files in specified format and resolution.
Candidate Requirements
- Proficiency in 2D animation, specifically with Toon Boom Harmony software.
- Proven skill in animating animals expressively, communicating emotions through movement.
- Strong grasp of timing, pacing, and storytelling techniques tailored for short-form animation.
- Ability to work autonomously with clear communication in a remote environment.
- Open to animators at beginner to mid-level stages who have a relevant portfolio to demonstrate their capabilities.
- Availability to begin promptly and adhere to the project timeline.
