Job description
Role overview
This position is for a NOC front office and automation engineer based in Kigali. The role focuses on coordinating, managing, carrying out, and reacting to maintenance work that needs more advanced support than the customer’s 1st level operations can provide. The goal is to keep customer services continuously available and operating at the agreed SLA performance standards.
Core duties
- Support assurance activities for service continuity and stability.
- Handle incident management tasks.
- Assist with problem management work.
- Perform system administration duties.
- Contribute to billing operations.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably IT or Telecom.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in deploying system tests and leading a testing team.
- At least 1 year of experience in data center management operations.
Additional requirements
- Understanding of managed service telecom operations practices.
- Ability to share knowledge and collaborate effectively.
- Familiarity with Ericsson tools, processes, or environment.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Ability to deliver results while meeting customer expectations.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Comfort working with others in a team environment.
- Interest in creating new solutions and improving existing ones.
- Ability to apply technical expertise and relevant technology effectively.
