This opportunity lies within our Middle Office Technology team and involves driving the evolution of vital middle office platforms by integrating robust technical solutions aligned with business and regulatory needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders from front-office, middle-office, operations, architecture, and technology teams to analyze, design, implement, and document comprehensive IT solutions.
  • Ensure thorough coverage of middle office domains related to structured products, FX, and precious metals including product configuration, trade capture, lifecycle event management (corporate actions, barrier monitoring, redemptions), fee accruals, position reconciliation, control frameworks, and billing processes.
  • Analyze existing operating models and workflows to identify bottlenecks and gaps, recommending scalable future-ready solutions aligned with organizational digital transformation goals.
  • Examine current system interfaces, payloads, and data exchanges documenting detailed mappings and system relationships to support design and impact analysis.
  • Model integrated workflows encompassing user interfaces, APIs, backend services, and databases, and lead the creation of functional designs, interface specifications, and non-functional requirement documentation.
  • Develop thorough artefacts such as requirement specifications, test strategies, detailed test cases, architectural blueprints, and implementation plans.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Development Teams to ensure solutions are technically feasible, scalable, and comply with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Maintain high standards of professional conduct, embedding integrity, transparency, risk management, and compliance with applicable regulations throughout project execution.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, validate system compliance with legal and internal standards, and uphold best practices in conflict-of-interest management, data privacy, and operational resilience.

Candidate Profile

Professional and Technical Skills:

  • Over 7 years of relevant experience in business or system analysis within capital markets, preferably private banking or wealth management contexts.
  • Deep familiarity with structured products including setup, booking logic, and managing key lifecycle events like barrier monitoring and corporate actions.
  • Sound knowledge of middle office activities such as product setup control, lifecycle management, position validations, fee calculations, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to work in agile frameworks like Scrum or SAFe, collaborating effectively with development teams.
  • Ability to interpret C# code to specify changes and work effectively with technical teams.
  • Proficient in SQL for data querying and analysis, with expertise in database schema understanding.
  • Experience working with JSON and XML data formats for APIs and system communications.
  • Strong background in API-driven solutions, especially REST and event-driven architectures like Kafka relevant to middle office and trading platforms.
  • Knowledge of OTC derivatives workflows and their associated risk and control considerations is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills aimed at optimizing processes and implementing scalable solutions.
  • Experience documenting requirements and creating comprehensive business artefacts including specifications, process flows, and test documentation.

Personal Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken; additional languages beneficial.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and proactively within a global, matrix team environment taking ownership of initiatives.
  • Positive, motivated, and dedicated mindset with a readiness to exceed expectations.
  • Excellent collaborator who can build effective relationships across different functions like Front Office, Operations, and Technology.
  • Comfortable interacting with a broad range of stakeholders, from operational users to architects and product owners.
