About the Role
We are currently seeking a Customs Administrator (m/f/d) for our renowned client based in Rödermark, Germany. This role involves managing and supervising import and export procedures, ensuring compliance with customs and foreign trade regulations, and supporting customs audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and monitoring import and export operations
- Preparing and reviewing customs and shipping documentation
- Classification and tariffing of goods following customs regulations
- Communicating with customs authorities and freight forwarders
- Ensuring adherence to all customs and foreign trade legal requirements
- Maintaining and managing customs-related master data
- Assisting in customs inspections and audits
- Optimizing internal customs procedures
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Completed commercial training such as an office clerk or equivalent commercial qualification
- Relevant professional experience in human resources
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Excellent command of German, both spoken and written
- Empathy, strong teamwork skills, and assertiveness
- Planning, coordination, and organizational skills
- Negotiation skills, confident demeanor, and excellent communication abilities
- Analytical thinking capacity
