Role overview
In this working student position, you will support the Machine Learning team in Munich on surgical video analysis initiatives. The role centers on building and maintaining strong datasets that help power AI systems designed to improve surgical workflows and related processes.
Key responsibilities
- Build and prepare high-quality data for different AI development workflows.
- Explore new approaches for annotating surgical videos, including the use of existing and open-source foundation models.
- Assist in designing and validating AI models, while helping maintain clear and well-structured documentation.
- Support machine learning engineers with day-to-day operational work.
- Contribute across the full development lifecycle, from early ideas through final testing.
- Use annotation and validation tools to maintain strong data and model quality.
