About the Role

Join one of the largest ecommerce companies in the Arab region, operating across multiple countries with a diverse portfolio of over 8.5 million products. Our Riyadh delivery station seeks a qualified WHS Specialist responsible for supervising health and safety standards while driving continuous operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee health and safety practices as well as employee satisfaction at the delivery station to maintain wellbeing and productivity.
  • Collaborate across multiple operations sites on health and safety projects to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Offer expert guidance on all health and safety matters relevant to assigned responsibilities.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of health and safety management systems and enhance processes as needed.
  • Design and implement work systems aimed at mitigating health and safety risks, including recommending appropriate machine or process adaptations.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive reporting systems for health and safety data and statistics.
  • Develop and update documentation such as procedures, tools, and training materials in both English and Arabic.
  • Deliver critical information and statistical insight to management related to health and safety within the station.
  • Facilitate business changes by managing change processes effectively within a dynamic environment.
  • Lead behavior-based culture change programs in a large, complex multi-shift operational setting.
  • Ensure local compliance with Amazon's global safety policies and applicable legislation.
  • Manage contractor safety protocols effectively on-site.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least three years of professional experience in workplace health and safety.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations, particularly 29 CFR 1910.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional proficiency with Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to manage confidential information relating to security or personnel.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are mandatory.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic, excellent communication skills.
  • Certified Level 2 kawader qualification.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experience in emergency response procedures.
  • Background in managing workers' compensation cases.
