About the Company
Te Arikinui Pullman Auckland Airport is positioned beside Auckland International Airport and features 311 well-appointed rooms. The property offers a premium five-star airport hotel experience with a distinctly New Zealand character. Guests are welcomed into an informal lobby space and can enjoy sweeping views from the rooftop bar and dining venue, Te Kaahu. Inspired by discovery and grounded in Aotearoa’s Māori heritage, Te Kaahu aims to deliver a dining and hospitality experience that reflects New Zealand’s culture, landscapes, and sense of place.
Role Overview
As a Welcomer, you will be a key part of the guest journey, setting the tone from the very first interaction. Your role will involve greeting guests warmly by name, introducing the hotel experience, escorting them to their rooms, and supporting any special requests. You will also help ensure VIP guests and loyalty members receive highly personalised service, including arranging welcome amenities and hosting them in the Te Kaahu Lounge.
Key Duties
You will collaborate with your teammates to provide smooth, polished service at all times while presenting a professional image and maintaining a strong eye for detail. The position calls for discretion, honesty, adaptability, and consistency with the hotel’s cultural values and brand expectations.
Qualifications
This opportunity suits someone who enjoys working with people and brings a warm, engaging personality. Formal experience is not essential, as attitude and enthusiasm for hospitality are the most important qualities. You should feel comfortable interacting confidently with guests from varied backgrounds, including those for whom English may not be a first language. A willingness to represent the hotel proudly and contribute to a five-star guest experience is essential. Previous exposure to reception, front office, hotels, or hospitality is an advantage, but not a requirement. The role also requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including both morning and evening shifts.
Additional Information
Working here comes with a range of benefits, including access to Accor Academy for learning and development, flexible working practices to support work-life balance, and Accor Heartist benefits such as discounted food and beverage plus accommodation worldwide. Other perks include a refer-a-friend bonus, meals provided on shift, paid parking at Auckland Airport, paid birthday leave, paid wellness leave, the parental leave scheme, and access to the Employee Assistance Program.
Diversity and Inclusion
The organisation is committed to building an inclusive workplace and actively welcomes diverse talent. Reasonable adjustments can be provided during the recruitment process if needed.
