Water Treatment Operator

Job Overview

The Water Treatment Operator is responsible for running, overseeing, and maintaining water purification machinery to ensure a steady output of safe and potable water, meeting both company and regulatory standards.

Key Duties

• Operate water treatment and purification equipment following prescribed procedures.
• Continuously monitor process variables such as pressure, flow rates, and water quality metrics.
• Perform routine quality inspections and conduct basic water testing to verify safety compliance.
• Carry out daily cleaning, sanitation, and minor upkeep of machinery and equipment.
• Identify, document, and report any equipment malfunctions, unusual readings, or issues promptly.
• Keep precise production logs, record maintenance activities, and maintain quality control documentation.
• Handle and store treatment chemicals and materials correctly and safely.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, environmental rules, and internal company policies.
• Assist in loading, offloading, and packaging treated water products as needed.
• Support overall plant operations and perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills

• Completed Senior High School or equivalent; technical education is preferred.
• Previous experience in water treatment, production, or equipment operation considered an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment and system operation.
• Ability to follow strict operating procedures and safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining quality standards.
• Physically capable of performing routine operational duties.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays if necessary.

Work Conditions

• Role requires working closely with machinery, water, and treatment chemicals.
• Involves standing for extended periods and engaging in regular physical activities.
• Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during operations.
