Warehouse Supervisor

Role overview

Freight Management Services Australia is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor for its Epping facility in Victoria. This role combines hands-on warehouse operations oversight with team leadership, process control, and compliance management.

Key duties

• Manage the day-to-day flow of warehouse activities, including inbound receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, dispatch, and stock control.
• Ensure warehouse work is carried out in line with service-level expectations and standard operating procedures.
• Lead, coach, train, and assess warehouse team members to maintain performance and productivity.
• Protect inventory accuracy by running audits and cycle counts and addressing discrepancies.
• Maintain a safe working environment and support compliance with workplace safety and OSHA-related requirements.
• Use warehouse management systems and RF scanning tools for tracking, monitoring, and reporting operations.
• Identify and implement improvements that raise efficiency, reduce cost, and strengthen overall warehouse processes.

Experience and profile

The employer is seeking someone with 2 to 5 years of warehouse or distribution experience, ideally gained in a 3PL setting, along with 1 to 3 years in a supervisory or team lead role. A strong grasp of warehouse operations, inventory control, WMS/RF systems, and Microsoft Office is expected. A forklift licence is required, and experience operating reach and counterbalance forklifts is considered an advantage.
