Job description
Overview
We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee the comprehensive management of warehouse and inventory operations, ensuring efficient stock handling and logistics coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse activities such as receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching inventory.
- Guide Pickers and Refillers to maintain seamless warehouse execution.
- Conduct stock audits and physical verifications to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Monitor stock flow to reduce losses, damages, and discrepancies while optimizing warehouse space utilization.
- Guarantee proper product handling and internal warehouse movements.
- Coordinate logistics to facilitate timely goods movement and support dispatch teams, including client site visits as necessary.
- Ensure secure handling of products and equipment returns from clients.
- Manage staff attendance, productivity, and task completion while fostering teamwork and accountability.
- Lead daily operational meetings to review processes and troubleshoot issues.
- Plan and assign delivery and retrieval routes, prepare duty rosters, and optimize team deployment.
- Mentor and train warehouse and field personnel to meet quality and safety standards.
- Track delivery efficiency, turnaround times, and resolve operational obstacles.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory, dispatches, returns, and other key performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations, escalate critical issues to management.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to boost warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Quick Commerce, E-commerce, FMCG, Retail, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, or Inventory Management.
- Proven leadership skills with the capability to manage warehouse and field teams.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, multitasking, and coordination skills.
- Knowledgeable in inventory management and reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office and warehouse/inventory management software; ERP/WMS experience preferred.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as needed and willingness to travel locally and inter-city within South India.
- Possession of a two-wheeler or motorcycle for local transportation.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure work environment managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations, or related disciplines.
- Experience managing warehouse staff and field logistics personnel including drivers, pickers, and refillers.
- Background in field-based logistics or distribution operations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with ERP/WMS and inventory management software is considered a plus.
