Warehouse Cleaning Attendant - Night Shift

About the Role

We are seeking a Warehouse Cleaning Attendant to maintain cleanliness and safety within our Saint John warehouse and common areas during overnight shifts.

Work Schedule and Compensation

The position involves working five 8-hour shifts weekly, from Sunday to Thursday, between 11 PM and 7 AM, with an hourly wage of $26.15.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning of the warehouse facility, including floors, windows, glass partitions, mirrors, doors, and walls.
• Sweep warehouse floors and clean designated pick locations and racking areas.
• Empty trash and recycling bins, collecting loose garbage, cardboard, and plastic materials.
• Operate an automatic floor scrubber for scrubbing tasks.
• Clean cleaning equipment such as bins, mop buckets, and tools as needed.
• Ensure the maintenance and replenishment of cleaning supplies.
• Work safely in coolers with temperatures of 1-4°C and freezers ranging from -24 to -26°C.
• Report any unsafe conditions or repair needs to supervisors promptly.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications

• Proficient in the use of standard cleaning tools including brooms, mops, sweepers, and vacuums.
• Knowledgeable about and compliant with safety, security, and health protocols.
• Experience handling various cleaning products safely.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 30 pounds independently.
• Self-motivated with the ability to follow instructions and perform tasks independently.
• Effective time management skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrates a cooperative team-oriented attitude.
