Warehouse Assistant

Job Overview

The Warehouse Assistant will play a crucial role in managing the flow of incoming and outgoing materials within the warehouse. Responsibilities focus on receiving stock, order picking, packaging, shipping, and overall organization and maintenance of warehouse stock and environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving shipments including unloading, counting, and storing inventory in the warehouse.
• Open packing boxes, crates, and containers carefully while inspecting contents.
• Efficiently process orders ensuring timely materials delivery that meets customer and business expectations.
• Pick inventory items precisely based on order forms and requirements.
• Inspect all items for damage or defects and update inventory records accordingly.
• Pack products adhering strictly to specified packing standards and guidelines.
• Manage shipping operations by fulfilling customer orders and updating inventory systems with tracking data.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work space including shelving, stock areas, and workstations through regular cleaning activities like sweeping and vacuuming.
• Ensure proper warehouse organization and orderliness continually.
• Wear required safety gear at all times for personal and team safety.
• Engage actively in process improvement initiatives and provide suggestions to enhance productivity.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
• Adhere strictly to internal delivery processes and procedures.
• Implement corrective actions to avoid recurrence of operational issues.
• Maintain stock accuracy by regularly verifying physical stock aligns with inventory records, ensuring all stock movements are logged properly.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school education or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a related warehouse or inventory role.
