Role summary
This is a full-time, on-site waitress position in Doha, Qatar. The job focuses on creating a welcoming dining experience, taking orders correctly, serving food and drinks promptly, and maintaining a professional, courteous approach with guests.
Key duties
The role includes greeting customers, sharing menus, recording orders accurately, and delivering meals and beverages in a timely way. It also involves preparing tables for service, clearing and resetting them after use, keeping the dining area tidy, coordinating closely with kitchen personnel, addressing guest questions or special requests, processing payments, and supporting the team during peak service hours.
Qualifications and working expectations
Applicants should bring strong guest-service ability and a friendly, attentive manner. A solid understanding of food and beverage service, menu basics, and standard table service is important. Clear communication with guests, coworkers, and kitchen teams is essential. Awareness of basic food handling or cooking is helpful, especially for estimating preparation time and accommodating dietary requirements. Experience in restaurants, cafes, or hotels is preferred but not required. The job may require long hours of standing, safe carrying of trays, and working flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
