Golden Pursuit Resources Ltd. (GDP-TSX-V) is a Canada-based exploration business centered on acquiring, exploring, and advancing gold assets. Its holdings include federal and territorial mineral claims and leases at Gordon Lake in the Northwest Territories, Canada, as well as properties in Nevada, United States. The company’s main exploration emphasis is the Gordon Lake Project, located about 80 km northeast of Yellowknife, NWT. Its portfolio also includes assets with past production history, such as the Camlaren and Burnt Island Mines, creating a mix of legacy opportunities and fresh exploration potential. The organization is growth-focused and operates within established mining regions.
Role Summary
This is a full-time remote leadership position responsible for directing the planning, execution, and completion of exploration and development initiatives across the company’s portfolio. The Vice President of Projects will guide cross-functional teams, define project goals, schedules, and budgets, and make sure work programs are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory obligations.
Key Duties
- Lead and coordinate project teams across geology, operations, finance, and external advisory partners.
- Set project scope, timelines, milestones, and budget expectations for multi-phase programs.
- Track progress against plans and identify risks, delays, and issues that may affect delivery.
- Prepare status updates, recommendations, and project reports for executive leadership and the Board.
- Improve and standardize project management methods and workflows across the organization.
- Optimize use of people, equipment, and financial resources across active initiatives.
- Support strategic choices related to exploration priorities and possible development pathways.
- Maintain effective working relationships with contractors, regulators, local communities, and other stakeholders.
- Help ensure projects are executed responsibly, sustainably, and in compliance with applicable requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong track record in leading projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk control, and reporting in mining or exploration settings.
- Solid knowledge of mineral exploration or mining operations, including field work, drilling, resource assessment, and technical studies.
- Experience leading remote, cross-functional teams with a collaborative and accountable management style.
- Working knowledge of regulatory approvals, permitting, safety practices, and environmental and social responsibility within the resource industry.
- Ability to manage contractors and stakeholders through negotiation, performance oversight, and clear communication.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with a practical approach to prioritization and problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, mining engineering, project management, or a related discipline; an advanced degree or professional credential such as P.Geo., P.Eng., or PMP is considered an advantage.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in mining or mineral exploration, including leadership of complex projects and management of substantial budgets.
