Role Overview
Reporting to the CFO, the Vice President, Finance & Controller leads WEKA’s accounting, controllership, tax, treasury, finance operations, systems, and internal controls. You will be entrusted with ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial results and the robustness of reporting, controls, and processes that scale with the company.
Key Duties
- Lead general ledger management, monthly/quarterly closes, multi-currency consolidations, intercompany accounting, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll for all entities.
- Ensure US GAAP group reporting, statutory compliance across jurisdictions, and drive a public-company pace for closing and reliability.
- Serve as primary technical accounting expert: manage revenue recognition under ASC 606 for subscriptions and consumption, stock-based compensation, equity accounting, capitalization, and manage complex accounting judgments.
- Oversee all aspects of direct/indirect tax, transfer pricing in a multi-entity global structure, tax provisions, and compliance while managing in-house versus co-sourced delivery.
- Manage treasury functions including cash and liquidity, banking relations, debt and covenant compliance, FX risk management with hedge accounting, and corporate investments under board policies.
- Own finance operations such as quote-to-cash billing, collections, accounts receivable operations, procurement/accounts payable, vendor management, and lead finance systems and ERP modernization to optimize order-to-revenue processes.
- Design and maintain internal control frameworks, segregation-of-duties, oversee external audits, and build controls ensuring scalable compliance.
- Build and lead a global finance and accounting team structured for effective separation of process operation and assurance.
Candidate Profile
- Significant progressive leadership experience in accounting and finance, having fully managed accounting and control functions as Controller, Chief Accounting Officer, or equivalent with full technical and operational ownership.
- Strong technical accounting skills with expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition; CPA or international equivalent highly preferred; MBA advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in public company financial reporting, SOX compliance, and operational controls; pre-IPO or IPO readiness experience highly valued.
- Proven ability to improve or build quote-to-cash cycles and lead ERP or billing systems implementations beyond mere oversight of outputs.
- Experienced working internationally across multiple legal entities, currencies, and time zones with distributed teams.
- Background in enterprise software, cloud, AI, or data infrastructure with hardware/capex components is highly desirable.
- Strong governance mindset with experience in segregation-of-duties within finance organizations.
- Balance of technical depth and operational execution skills, comfortable setting policies and driving process improvements.
