Job description
Role Overview
Halfords is seeking a proficient Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester to join our team in Edinburgh. This position involves conducting MOT assessments in accordance with DVSA standards and performing a broad spectrum of vehicle maintenance and repair tasks, from routine servicing to advanced diagnostics and fixes, maintaining top-quality workmanship.
Compensation and Schedule
- Target earnings range from £44,200 to £46,200 annually.
- Base salary between £38,000 and £40,000 per year.
- An uncapped monthly bonus program averaging an additional £6,200 yearly.
- Work schedule is five days per week.

Qualifications and Experience
- Level 3 certification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications/experience.
- Possession of a valid MOT Testing Licence.
- Holding a full driving licence with no more than nine penalty points.
