Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at KUN Motorcycles in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This role involves diagnosing and repairing various motorcycle components while ensuring adherence to brand standards and quality processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot issues in engine, fuel injection, carburetor, electrical systems, suspension, and brakes.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter cleaning, chain adjustments, and overall inspections.
• Execute major repairs including engine overhauls, head work, wiring, and accident damage restoration.
• Perform warranty repairs aligned with brand guidelines, ensuring thorough documentation and photographic evidence.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment, scanners, and specialized tools proficiently to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Adhere to brand standard operating procedures (SOPs) concerning torque settings, lubrication points, and checklists for each task.
• Maintain cleanliness and implement 5S methodology in the assigned workshop bay and tool storage areas.
• Conduct test rides post-repair to verify the resolution of issues and minimize repeat work or customer complaints.
• Collaborate with floor in-charges and service advisors by taking assigned jobs, updating progress, and communicating any additional required repairs discovered during servicing.
• Manage tool, equipment, and consumable usage efficiently to prevent wastage.
• Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics and helpers.
• Accurately complete job cards detailing work performed and time spent; assist in compiling documentation for warranty claims with appropriate photographs and notes.
