Job description
Role Overview
As a Vehicle Appraiser, you will leverage your expertise in automotive technology to assess the condition and value of used vehicles. You will utilize standard market valuation and calculation systems as well as used vehicle management platforms to conduct precise appraisals. Your responsibilities also include inspecting existing damages and estimating repair costs, independently managing the vehicle return process for clients, coordinating lease returns, and preparing diminished value reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough condition and value assessments of used cars based on your automotive knowledge.
- Use customary valuation and calculation tools plus vehicle management systems to accurately determine vehicle worth.
- Inspect damage and calculate repair estimates.
- Take charge of the used vehicle return procedures with clients.
- Coordinate lease returns and perform diminished value assessments.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Certified journeyman or master technician in automotive mechanic, mechatronics, painter, or body and vehicle construction trades.
- Several years of professional experience specifically in vehicle appraisal sectors.
- Familiarity with expert systems like DAT, Schwacke, and Audatex is advantageous.
- A proactive, customer-service driven approach combined with a strong commitment to quality.
- Valid class B driver's license and willingness to work locally in the field.
