Role overview

GLS Canada is hiring a Transport Clerk for a permanent full-time day shift role in Vaughan, Ontario. This position is based on-site at 9501 Highway #50 near Highway #50 and Major MacKenzie.

Schedule and employment details

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Compensation

The pay rate for this role is $20.00 per hour.

Key duties

Handle incoming phone calls and complete follow-ups when needed.
Process freight and parcel shipments.
Check drivers in and out.
Arrange appointments and bookings.
Respond to customer service and tracing emails.
Enter data accurately, including notes and comments for shipment tracking.
Update problem shipments in the drive.
Work with Parcel OS&D cases.

Skills and experience

Candidates should be comfortable using Google tools such as email, Drive, and Docs, along with Microsoft Office. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are important, as is the ability to work effectively with others or independently. The role also calls for solid typing and clerical ability, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a positive team mindset. Prior transport or courier experience is preferred.
