Role Overview
This full-time role, based remotely within Hobart or Launceston, Tasmania, reports to the Territory Manager for South Australia, Northern Territory, and Tasmania. The position centers on expanding revenue and developing business opportunities within the mining, HVAC, and industrial markets throughout the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Drive and convert product specifications within your territory while managing the approved expense budget.
- Identify and cultivate new market opportunities to increase Victaulic’s footprint and sales pipeline.
- Foster lasting relationships with contractors, project managers, designers, specifiers, and procurement professionals.
- Offer technical guidance and commercial support, helping customers with product choices, service issues, troubleshooting, and adding value.
- Translate revenue and budget goals into practical territory plans, prioritizing activities to meet targets.
- Ensure optimum market coverage through effective planning, scheduling, and territory management.
- Support training sessions and promotional efforts for specifiers, distributors, and contractors within the region.
- Maintain up-to-date CRM records, submit weekly territory reports, and prepare annual budgets and monthly sales forecasts.
Candidate Profile
- Proven success in technical sales or business development, preferably in mining, HVAC, water, or industrial sectors.
- Experience with piping systems is advantageous.
- Practical experience conducting site visits and engaging with engineers, owners, and contractors.
- Highly self-driven with the ability to work independently.
- Adaptable to a fast-moving, dynamic environment and capable of overcoming challenges.
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation abilities.
- Solution-focused mindset with strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
- Possession of a valid Australian Driver’s license and willingness to travel as job duties demand.
