Technical Support Specialist

About the Role

We are an environmental consultancy with 25 years of experience specializing in environmental impact evaluation, biodiversity, and archaeological monitoring across Spain. We seek a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and user orientation to manage the company's technological infrastructure, provide technical support, and ensure the proper functioning of systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain organizational systems, equipment, servers, and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to systems, applications, and network connectivity with minimal operational disruption.
• Install, configure, and update hardware and software systems, ensuring compatibility and adherence to best practices.
• Monitor system performance, identify trends, and implement proactive measures to prevent potential issues or bottlenecks.
• Develop and implement system backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data and guarantee business continuity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy new technology solutions aligned with business goals.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users, including training on system usage and problem resolution assistance.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in systems administration, recommending ongoing improvements.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure timely issue resolution and effective contract management.
• Strictly adhere to security protocols related to the position.

Education and Experience

Minimum education requirement is a Higher Technician degree in Computer Systems Administration.

Additional valued skills include extensive knowledge of microcomputing and server administration.

Applicants should have at least three years of experience as an IT technician.
