Job Summary
This position is for an HR - ER Compliance Manager at the zonal level, supporting Employee Relations and statutory compliance across allocated branches in the Gold Loans business. The role focuses on making sure labour law requirements, company policies, audit expectations, and ethical HR standards are followed consistently. A key part of the job is travelling frequently to branches for audits, investigations, and compliance checks.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations and Compliance
- Maintain full statutory compliance at branch level, covering laws and requirements such as the Shops & Establishment Act, Minimum Wages, Bonus, Gratuity, PF, ESI, CLRA, POSH, and related regulations.
- Carry out scheduled HR compliance audits across branches.
- Keep compliance trackers and supporting records up to date.
- Work with legal and compliance teams on statutory submissions and inspections.
- Assist with internal and external audits connected to HR and labour law compliance.
Employee Relations
- Handle employee grievances and ensure closures within the required timelines.
- Lead disciplinary enquiries and domestic investigations whenever needed.
- Assist the HRBP in dealing with misconduct, absenteeism, and performance-related concerns.
- Ensure that warning letters, charge sheets, and termination documentation are prepared and maintained correctly.
- Help build and sustain a healthy employee relations environment across the zone.
- Track compliance with the code of conduct and workplace ethics.
- Coordinate with Business HR to resolve employee issues.
- Oversee background verification and employee record documentation.
POSH and Workplace Conduct
- Ensure branches comply with POSH requirements.
- Support Internal Committee inquiries and help run awareness sessions.
Travel and Field Engagement
- Visit branches regularly within the assigned zone.
- Conduct unplanned compliance reviews and employee interaction meetings.
- Remain available for urgent Employee Relations matters and statutory inspections.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of labour laws and statutory compliance processes.
- Practical experience in Employee Relations and disciplinary handling.
- Ability to investigate issues and resolve conflict effectively.
- Good documentation discipline and audit coordination skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Willingness to travel frequently across the zone.
Additional Information
This role is based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and requires regular field visits across branches. The job is entirely onsite and involves direct branch-level coordination for compliance, investigations, and employee relations support.
