Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Team Manager to join the West Lancashire Domiciliary Service within Adult Social Care at Lancashire County Council. This permanent, full-time position offers a salary range of 32061 to 36363 per annum based on full-time equivalency (37 hours/week). The role includes weekend, bank holiday, and on-call duties. On-call hours are between 20:00 and 08:00, supporting the community support team remotely from home for emergency response within the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Supported Living Service team, ensuring high standards of care and support to adults with disabilities.
- Welcome individuals into their homes with a positive and friendly attitude, enhancing their daily routines.
- Provide essential support involving personal care, household management, finances, medication administration, and day-to-day assistance.
- Encourage and assist service users to engage in community activities, fostering social inclusion and wellbeing.
- Handle on-call responsibilities to respond swiftly to emergencies outside of regular hours.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated passion for improving the lives of service users through committed and caring support.
- Empathy and resilience to understand and effectively respond to complex and challenging behaviors.
- Strong communication skills to reassure and positively engage with individuals served.
- Motivated to persevere through difficult situations while maintaining a warm and encouraging demeanor.
- No formal health or social care background required; willingness to learn and complete training is essential.

Additional Information and Benefits
- Salary: 32061 - 36363 per annum (full-time equivalent).
- Weekend and On-call Allowances: 33% increase on weekends, 50% increment for bank holidays, and an on-call payment.
- Annual leave of up to 32 days, plus 8 bank holidays and 2 additional statutory bank holidays.
