About the Role

The Talent Acquisition Partner for Asia Pacific at Olympus Corporation is responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment activities across a broad range of roles within the APAC region. This individual works directly with hiring managers at various levels including Associate Manager, Business Unit President, and Group President to create and implement recruitment strategies that align with business goals. The role emphasizes a proactive and innovative approach with a "start-up" mindset to continually enhance recruitment processes, tools, and candidate experiences while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and company policies. This position reports to the APAC Talent Acquisition Director and functions as an individual contributor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define hiring profiles and lead full-cycle recruitment including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates, especially for roles within Endoscopy and Therapeutics.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by presenting diverse and qualified candidate slates, conducting effective interviews, recommending shortlists, and sharing timely updates with valuable insights and metrics.
  • Build and sustain a pipeline of diverse talent in the MedTech sector spanning sales, marketing, essential functions, and leadership positions.
  • Identify and utilize innovative sourcing channels such as new job boards and underutilized talent pools to reach passive and hard-to-find candidates.
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition teams to prepare talent pools for current and future strategic hiring needs, offering coaching to Specialists and Coordinators when needed.
  • Maintain balance between recruitment efficiency and adherence to compliance, inclusion commitments, and employment regulations.
  • Engage with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners throughout the offer and onboarding stages including negotiation, offer extension, and pre-employment screening coordination.
  • Enhance candidate experience throughout recruitment phases by incorporating feedback to refine interview and hiring practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five years of experience managing the full recruitment cycle.
  • Proficient with applicant tracking systems and contemporary recruitment tools and platforms.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to career fairs and Olympus offices as necessary.
  • Fluent in English and preferably in another Asian language such as Korean, Thai, or Vietnamese to facilitate communication across APAC stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience recruiting for professional and management roles.
  • Prior exposure to recruitment in MedTech, biotechnology, life sciences, or pharmaceutical fields.
  • Proven skill in successfully filling difficult positions through innovative and metrics-driven sourcing techniques.
  • Ability to utilize recruitment data for strategy evaluation and adjustment.
