Role Overview

This position requires performing as a Watch Commander who leads and inspires teams tackling fires, rescues, and various emergencies, aiming to quickly control and mitigate situations. The role includes planning and implementing community drills and exercises to enhance the skills and teamwork of personnel within the industrial city environment while maintaining safety standards.

Key Duties

• Oversee on-station watch duties encompassing routine and emergency tasks such as managing emergency responses, conducting drills, handling exercises, operating emergency vehicles, and maintaining readiness.

Required Experience and Competencies

• Certified completion of Basic Fire Fighter 1 & 2 (NFPA 1001) and Breathing Apparatus Wearer courses.
• Certification in NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor 1 and NFPA Fire Officer levels 1 and 2.
• Qualified as a First Aider to the level of first responder, including CPR with AED capability.
• At least 7 years of experience in firefighting within commercial, industrial, civil, or military contexts, or a minimum of 3 years as a leading firefighter in Qatar Petroleum.
• Possession of a valid driving license, preferably for heavy vehicles.
• Proficient with a wide range of modern firefighting and rescue equipment.
• Capability to quickly assess incident situations under potentially hazardous and confusing conditions and to effectively direct on-scene teams.
• Empathy for victims affected by fire or accidents, with the ability to manage distressing circumstances effectively.
• Intermediate proficiency in English (level QP L4) in both spoken and written forms.

Educational Requirements

Completion of secondary school education is mandatory.
