Role overview
The Strategy Manager will be a key member of Lifera’s Strategy Unit, partnering with the Strategy Director to define, sharpen, and implement the company’s corporate and vertical strategies. This position helps set the long-range vision and direction of the organization, gathers and organizes materials for Board of Directors and PIF interactions, and turns strategy into practical actions across functions and business verticals. The role also contributes to leading cross-functional strategic initiatives, supports scenario analysis and market intelligence work, and helps ensure that each vertical’s balanced scorecard and KPIs stay aligned with corporate priorities.
Core responsibilities
- Assist the Strategy Director in building and updating Lifera’s corporate strategy, long-term vision, and strategic direction for review by the Board of Directors and PIF.
- Perform horizon scanning, competitor and market intelligence, and scenario planning to support decision-making.
- Track new trends, technologies, and business models influencing global biopharma and life sciences.
- Convert corporate strategy into practical initiatives across Lifera’s functions and business verticals.
- Ensure cross-functional initiatives are aligned with company-wide priorities.
- Work with function leaders to define execution roadmaps.
- Build mid- to long-term strategic plans for individual verticals.
- Support the development of objectives, KPIs, and initiatives for balanced scorecards.
- Assess opportunities, partnerships, and investment priorities.
- Lead or help lead cross-functional strategic project teams.
- Prepare strategic updates for senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and PIF.
- Keep strategic work aligned with Lifera’s corporate goals and Vision 2030.
- Maintain ongoing intelligence on the market, policy environment, and competition.
- Create models that evaluate growth scenarios and their strategic implications.
- Develop insight papers on emerging biotech and pharma themes.
Qualifications and experience
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field is required. A master’s degree such as an MBA, MHA, MPA, or an equivalent qualification is preferred. Certifications in strategy, analytics, or management, including CFA or PMP, are considered an advantage.
The role calls for 8 to 9 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in corporate strategy, management consulting, or biopharma strategic planning. Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare is preferred. A strong background in strategic planning, cross-functional leadership, and support for C-level or Board-level discussions is expected.
