Store Keeper

Role overview

Cafe Arabia is hiring a dependable Store Keeper for its Central Kitchen in Pune. This position is focused only on the store function within the central kitchen, not on running the kitchen itself.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and control stock for dry goods, wet items, meats, sauces, packaging, and other store materials.
• Accept incoming supplies from vendors and check both quantity and quality before storing them.
• Distribute materials to the kitchen team based on daily or operational needs.
• Follow FIFO practices, monitor expiry dates, and ensure items are stored correctly.
• Update stock registers and daily inventory records without delay.
• Flag shortages, overstock, damage, and wastage as soon as they are noticed.
• Keep the storage area neat, well arranged, and free from pests.
• Work closely with the purchase, accounts, and central kitchen teams for smooth stock movement.

Requirements

Prior experience in store or inventory management is preferred, especially in food service, QSR, hotel, or central kitchen environments. The ideal candidate should be honest, disciplined, organised, and comfortable working with numbers.
