Role Overview

As a Stockperson / Cartpusher, you will be vital in maintaining a secure, orderly, and welcoming retail environment. Your main duties include gathering shopping carts from various store areas and returning them to assigned locations according to approved methods. Engaging positively with customers and prioritizing safety will support smooth store operations and help you develop skills in retail, collaboration, and customer support.

Key Responsibilities

• Retrieve shopping carts from corrals, parking lots, and the store perimeter, and properly store them following company protocols while accurately completing related logs.
• Promptly assist customers and store staff with carry outs, carry ins, and receipt validation upon request.
• Carry out cleaning and maintenance tasks including restroom upkeep, adhering strictly to chemical handling, disposal requirements, and equipment safety checks.
• Strictly follow all safety measures and emergency procedures such as hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogen protocols to ensure a secure environment.
• Use mandated personal protective gear including steel-toed boots and reflective vests; perform safety inspections and maintain compliance with workplace safety policies.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.

Challenges and Physical Requirements

• Manage high workload volumes efficiently in a fast-paced setting, especially during overnight shifts, by planning and maintaining focus and energy.
• Perform physical activities including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Conduct repetitive tasks such as stocking and organizing merchandise with consistent attention to detail and adherence to store standards.
