Role overview

Shape Hospitality is hiring a Steward to support kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and smooth day-to-day culinary operations in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi Emirate, UAE. This position focuses on keeping the kitchen environment orderly, safe, and sanitary while assisting the culinary team with routine support tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen tools and equipment.
• Maintain tidiness in the kitchen, dishwashing section, and storage spaces.
• Use dishwashing machinery carefully and flag any malfunction or operational concern when needed.
• Remove and dispose of waste in line with company procedures.
• Consistently follow food hygiene, sanitation, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Support the kitchen staff with general cleaning and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a hotel or restaurant environment.
• Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Comfortable handling duties in a busy, high-pressure setting.
• Physically capable of carrying out manual tasks.
• Dependable, hardworking, and able to collaborate effectively with a team.

Preferred certifications

• Food Handler Certificate
• HACCP Certificate
