Job Overview
This full-time role at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), based in Greater Milwaukee, invites candidates with an accounting or finance background to transition into a special agent career. This opportunity is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze. The position offers comprehensive training, substantial professional growth, and engaging work focused on national security and law enforcement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct investigations into suspected violations of federal laws, including cybercrime and threats to public safety.
- Apply sound judgment, resourcefulness, and adaptability to meet the demands of various investigative operations.
- Develop and sustain cooperative relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement counterparts.
- Maintain necessary physical fitness to fulfill law enforcement responsibilities effectively.
Qualification Criteria
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
- Capability to obtain Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
- Willingness to travel as required by investigative duties.
- Compliance with the FBI’s employment eligibility prerequisites.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited U.S. institution; preferred fields include accounting, business administration, finance, or forensic accounting.
- Submission of verified college transcripts is required for all candidates.
Compensation
Salary ranges from $93,749 to $133,200 annually, adjusted based on base pay, locality, and availability.
