Spa & Leisure Cleaner

About the Role

The Grace Westport Estate is preparing to open a new luxury hotel in Spring 2026 on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, within the Westport Estate. This full-time, on-site opportunity is for a Spa & Leisure Attendant who will help set the standard for cleanliness, guest comfort, and presentation across the spa, pool, and leisure areas.

The role is practical and guest-facing, focused on keeping all facilities immaculate, welcoming, and consistent with the property’s premium standards.

What You’ll Do

• Keep spa and leisure spaces spotless and well presented, including poolside zones, changing rooms, treatment corridors, and relaxation areas.
• Carry out everyday cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, sanitising surfaces, vacuuming, and restocking towels, robes, and other amenities.
• Complete planned deep-cleaning tasks in treatment rooms, saunas, steam rooms, showers, pool tiling, and locker areas while following hygiene and safety procedures.
• Track cleaning activity through checklists to make sure all tasks are finished to standard.
• Ensure towels, robes, and guest supplies are neatly arranged, fully replenished, and maintained in excellent condition.
• Welcome guests politely, offer assistance, provide directions, and help them feel comfortable throughout their visit.
• Assist the spa and leisure team with setting up treatment rooms, the gym, the pool, and other guest areas.
• Observe pool and leisure spaces to support guest safety and compliance with facility rules.
• Escalate maintenance, safety, or hygiene concerns quickly to the Spa Supervisor or Manager.
• Help with opening and closing routines so facilities are ready for use or securely shut down.
• Carry out and document daily water testing for the pool, jacuzzi, and other wet areas in line with safety and hygiene rules.
• Maintain a calm, professional, and welcoming environment at all times.

Skills and Experience Needed

• Strong eye for detail and a genuine commitment to hygiene, presentation, and safety.
• Confidence with cleaning tasks, light maintenance, and water-quality testing.
• Good communication skills and a guest-focused approach.
• Dependable, proactive, and able to work alone or as part of a team.
• Willingness to work early shifts, late shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
