About the Role
Join a leading name in global payments as a Software Developer for Sentral, a reliable cloud-based solution supporting more than 3000 Australian schools with student administration, data management, and parent engagement. Sentral eases administrative tasks so educators and school leaders can focus on enhancing student outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to influence products utilized nationwide in thousands of schools, collaborating closely with skilled colleagues and stakeholders, directly impacting educational environments each day.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement new product features that deliver significant value to users.
- Maintain and improve current applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Incorporate quality into all development stages through testing, refinement, and enhancement.
- Keep the product technology stack modern, scalable, and prepared for future challenges by monitoring tech trends.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align solutions with customer requirements.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and ongoing improvement.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of three years commercial experience in software development within an enterprise SaaS context.
- Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, Angular framework, and MySQL database management.
- Strong grasp of software engineering principles and design patterns such as Object-Oriented Programming and MVC architecture.
- Experience working in agile settings and delivering software iteratively.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts effectively to team members and stakeholders alike.
- A problem-solving attitude combined with enthusiasm for exploring new technologies.
- Highly organized, proactive and collaborative team contributor.

Additional Information
Salary Range: AUD 110,000 to 120,000 annually plus superannuation.
