Job description
Position Overview
Stroud District Council seeks a proactive and dedicated Site Officer to oversee our Independent Living sites within the Stroud District. The role involves ensuring the effective management of communal spaces, focusing on Health & Safety compliance, cleanliness, and light outdoor maintenance to maintain safe and welcoming environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage communal areas including adherence to Health & Safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee cleaning operations and perform light gardening and grounds maintenance duties.
- Maintain high standards at Independent Living Community HUBS for internal and external events and activities.
- Identify and report maintenance needs and coordinate with contractors and partner organizations.
- Engage with visitors at the Independent Living sites ensuring a positive experience.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will demonstrate a positive 'can-do' mindset, coupled with strong organizational and time management capabilities. Being a self-motivated individual ready to tackle maintenance and repair tasks is essential. Physical fitness is necessary for cleaning, grounds upkeep, and light repairs. The role requires a valid full driving licence to facilitate travel across various locations.
Training and Development
Comprehensive training will be provided, including PAT testing, Health & Safety, and other relevant instruction tailored to the Site Officer duties.
